I think I will change wallpaper of my e-book to cursive „Grutrissheit”
So Georgine is „Right behind you” in scorched earth attack, but Rozmyne saves the day just in time.
I love how now we see use of convenient plot devices that have been planted years in advance.
Prepub doesn’t make as a good tension holder. I can’t wait for next week. My resolve is stronger than ever.

Kazuki-sensei juked us…it was actually a time skip in disguise!
No Hannelore reaction to new growth 😭
No reaction yet.
With her still holding one of the archlibrarian keys, Hannelore is quite likely to attend the archduke conference. And Rozemyne is absolutely certain to be there.
Lieseleta, Gretia… WTF? oO
They just heard that Rozemyne was in the presence of a literal god, well ex-god technically I suppose, and their first worries are how inconvenient it was to Rozemyne? Seriously girls, what the actual hell? I would have a thousand thoughts and questions that I feel are more important than “did this ‘male’ god see you naked?” or “Just how bummed out are you about growing up in an instant, rather than gradually.” Like for example “Not big enough for Erwaermen’s needs? What needs would those be?” or maybe the more obvious “You’ve been face to face with a literal god, holy shit!”
Priorities… ^^
I love the reaction of Bonifatius and the bander with Wilfried. So wholesome. :3
In hindsight it’s funny, how last week we wondered and theorized which parts might have happened in real time and which, while the outside world stood still, when it turned out it was the exact opposite and the outside world moved faster than Rozemyne experienced. ^^
Thankfully for everyone involved, this year there was no schtappe acquisition, though I wonder what would have happened to the omni elemental students, had there been one. They needed to get to the Garden of Beginnings to get their divine will, but the entrance was closed, while Rozemyne was with Erwaermen. So would they have felt that it wasn’t going to work from the start, or gone all the way to the back, just to be denied at the top of the stairs? Or would they have been let in and seen Rozemyne writing on the ground in slow motion or something? oO
In Sylvester’s position, I’d use Entwickeln to create a bunch of physical traps right on the inside of the Foundation. With her silver cloth magic traps aren’t going to be much of a threat to her, but imagine her facial expression, if Georgine were to step triumphantly forward, hear a click and suddenly find herself impaled by a sharp spike shooting out of the floor. ^^
But fantasies aside, I would most certainly pick out some guards, have them dress up as commoner temple guards and place them around the temple. Georgine would probably expect those “mere commoners” to be no threat to her, take off the silver cloth and try to sweep them away with some minmal effort magic, but the knights could quickly overwhelm her with the combination of surprise and superior numbers. And if she keep the silver clothes on, they can use their physical weapons to deal with her.
Okay… what is up with Hartmut? Was it just a wild guess and blind optimism and faith on his part that convinced him that Rozemyne was growing physically alongside her mana capacity, or does he really have some kind of connection with the gods of his own now, that granted him a deeper insight to Rozemyne’s situation than any of her other name-sworn?
He prayed to Schlaftraum for divine revelation.
If those prayers were answered, he spent the past few months dreaming about watching Rozemyne grow and take off her clothes in slow motion.
It’s because he’s name-sworn, and his mana is wrapped in Rozemyne’s. I guess when she’s experiencing extreme mana variations, name-sworn can too? Him being one of the few archnobles in her retinue also means he’s one of the few people of a similar mana capacity to hers, so he may be more sensitive to changes as well, while her other name-sworn can’t tell the difference. That’s my guess at least.
It also helps that Hartmut is the most ambitious of his retainers, and would unflinchingly predict that Rozemyne would be in the presence of a god.
Now that I think about it; Ferdinant is probably writing down his part of the Grutrissheit for Roz, and I suppose that the Fey Paper makes it possible to “upgrade” her part.
Ferdinand knows nothing about Rozemyne having the remaining two thirds. I think his fey paper copy is meant to help the royals keep the country running a little bit longer until they get their own, plus it’s a bargaining chip.
Though Rozemyne could probably absorb its knowledge with a quick copy/paste…
Oh yes that was worded oddly, but I just had a feeling that it‘d end up beeing for Rozemyne, even if that wasn’t his intention initially.
I don’t think Rozemyne would even need it if she can just copy place from his Grutrissheit to hers.
Though spending all day in a hidden room with Ferdinand putting mana into his schtappe might be socially objectionable while they’re engaged to others.
I do wonder if he would want her to even complete it. I rember earlier he was trying to do everything in his power to prevent her from getting g-book and becoming zent. In the short term “upgrading” her g-book could help solve Erinfest and Arinsbach issues but I wonder how Lanzinave and Soverenty will play into this.
Well I wasn’t expecting Rozemyne’s 4th year at the Royal Academy to only last a week. I wonder if this means summer school or what. It sounds like Fraularm was fired which should make school life more pleasant going forward. I love how Bonifatius is always so happy to see Rozemyne return. He just doesn’t seem to care at all about his emotions showing unlike other nobles. It’s interesting to see the contrast between how her retainers, family, and everyone else reacts to Rozemyne’s changes.
Seems like Rozemyne made it back just in time to help avert disaster in Ehrenfest. I’ve often wondered what Georgine’s motivation is for taking Ehrenfest’s foundation. If Rozemyne’s worst fears are correct about her just wanting to destroy Ehrenfest then Georgine has some real issues. Regardless of the reason, I’d like to see Georgine get caught in a trap and shipped off to the Ivory Tower. I still think that she might send the old Giebe Gerlach to do her dirty work if her goal is just to cause damage. Considering how many times her plots have failed I don’t see her risking herself unless her success is guaranteed.
Since Ahrensbach’s key is in Ehrenfest’s possession, it’ll be interesting to see if they can make use of it somehow as insurance or to remove Detlinde and install Ferdinand as Aub. Seems like Rozemyne will be too busy to have some quiet reading time for quite a while.
So you didn’t think that Georgine had real issues after learning she is trying to assassinate her brother ever since they were children, was giddy about seeing her mother imprisoned and miserable, poisoned her own daughter for mere convenience, made her own daughter’s life a living hell just because that girl had the misfortune to look like her grandmother, most likely poisoned her husband’s first wife and then him and might well be responsible for the death of her own father as well, all the while allowing an entire greater duchy to fall to ruin in the pursuit of her own selfish goals? oO
Considering how trigger happy the royal family is about Ferdinand, I think the smarter counter-attack would be to have Letizia, rather than him, steal Ahrensbach’s foundation. With her being engaged with Hildebrand and meant to become the next Aub by royal decree, this would be a demonstration of loyalty, rather than easily being mistaken for an act of rebellion. With a couple of Ferdinand’s potions, she should be able to pull it off. And once she’s the new Aub, she can abolish that stupid tradition and return some of her uncles and aunts, like Alstede and Blasius to archduke candidate status, so they can help her maintain the foundation from then on out.
was giddy about seeing her mother imprisoned and miserable
Personally when I first read that side story I thought the smirk was more because she gleamed some information from Veronica’s wailing. I was pretty focused on trying to figure out what sort of information Veronica might have encoded or if it was just painting a target on Rozemyne and Ferdinand for Georgine. Didn’t realize it until much later that that was just schadenfreude on her part, so I wouldn’t really blame someone for missing that on first reading either.
With how much you can read into some of the interactions and events, it can be easy to overanalyze a simple smirk.
I can understand Georgine hating her mother and brother for being forced to give up being an archduke candidate—after training hard to become one—and get married off to Ahrensbach. Even Rihyarda has sympathy for her. We don’t really know what her circumstances were like in Ahrensbach, she may have had good reason to get rid of the other archduke family members, or maybe she was just broken at that point. But there’s a big difference between taking revenge on the people who wronged you and genocide.
If Letizia were old enough then I’d agree that she’d be best to take the lead, but she’s not even close to entering the Royal Academy. Ferdinand has been building a good rapport with the people of Ahrensbach. I think almost everyone—including Detlinde’s retainers—would prefer him to lead over Detlinde at this point.
Letizia doesn’t have a schtappe yet, and no gods’ names.
Oh right… forgot about the schtappe for a moment. But the gods’ names is only needed to cast Entwickeln to create something new, not to sustain something already created, right?
At least with the Ahrensbach bible key in their possession, they have a piece of hard evidence for Georgine’s foul play. Naturally they can’t really use it yet, since Georgine could just claim that Ferdinand was the one who switched the keys. But if they get additional evidence to support their side of the story and put Georgine’s claims into question, this will be a powerful piece in any investigation be the royals.
