Not really effective as reddit knows that a lot of people/subs will be back after 48h.
Is it justified to bump up the api pricing?
Bumping up the API pricing is not really the problem, the problem is that it’s not a reasonable price bump.
What will be the outcome?
Depends on how the mods/content creators act. If they switch, most users will follow. If they take it as a reddit break and go back to it, it will kill third party apps and reddit wins.
Did it have an impact on you?
I’ve deleted my reddit account and will probably stay on the fediverse.

Do you think all subs will come back?

I think the users are a big part of such a movement, most of the content creators will be were to most users are.

Probably not all but most of them.
Chicken and egg problem right here. Will see how it turns out in the coming days.
Thanks for posting stuff btw.
I’m already curious, which will stay private. But time will tell pretty soon
Excatly, the phrasing i was looking for.
I was shocked to see this many subs go dark, i was thinking some smaller one would join for sure but not so many.
You can check the status of which subs are still private, restricted or public here: https://reddark.untone.uk/
Thanks, interesting to see this many sites still holding on to the strike.
