I found this claim hard to swallow. Seems like OP didn’t post any good links. But given the traction they got on the original post, I am crossposting it here
Reading through the thread it sounds like the person is confused by instances and communities and Lemmy in general. Lemmygrad is a shitty place no doubt but its up to the various other instances to isolate themselves from Lemmygrad. I do agree with what the poster is saying about them and think that place is so far up its own arse that it can be piled in with the far right facist groups and be burned.
That was my impression also. I haven’t been on lemmygrad but I’d rather have the ability to take a look rather than be denied the opportunity to see it for myself and decide.
That’s what’s great about this. If kbin.social or lemmy.world defederate then you are free to make your own instance or join another that is still federated and see.
I believe this refers to lemmynsfw.com which has been reported to have cp, many instances have de federated from it.
