This is one of those classic movies that should be used as a reference when someone asks you to explain what D&D is. Heroes on a quest, or multiple overlapping ones in the case of Westley and Indigo, and the adventures they have along the way.
Another great example with a solid party dynamic among the main cast is Star Wars.
The fast and furious movies are very much a campaign. There’s a great quote about it that I think came from SomethingAwful.
It’s like how in any jrpg you start off fighting rats or spiders (street racing) and end up fighting god (probably street racing against god). The actual quote is much more is depth and is more about the gear and leveling up.
I played a F&F one shot and it was amazing (sincerely) a couple of us were big fans of the original movie and we recycled quotes all session.
What system did you use? First thing coming to my mind would be D20 modern since it’s basically an officially published hack of 3e D&D, so the rules wouldn’t be too foreign to anybody familiar with 5e, and it has actual rules specifically for car chases.
It was based on crash pandas (an infamous one page one shot)
Hey man I almost had you.
I need inspiration and guidance on my investigation roll to read this deep fried meme.
Hello. My Name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
