Yes, you (and anyone else) can block it for themselves.

It migrated from Reddit r/196, tho I think the memes there were better.Personally, I like it 💖
I like it, too but there must be so many more posts there than any other community bc it is almost the only thing on my timeline.
Yes, i think it’s just the most popular community on this instance.

- Don’t want to associate with the tankies there, and
- Really (myself included) like BLÅHAJ, as it’s become an LGBTIQ+ symbol,
so they migrated the community here (and Tumblr #196).
The more people participate (read: comment & post), the more diverse the topics here will become 💬
PS: You can always block entire communities, if you don’t want to see them anymore.
I did feel like I had to block 196 just to get a useful local view. I think there’s still lots of room for wider spread lgbtq communities here and I want to be able to see those as they rise.

That’s true, but with Lemmy being new (or at least a lot of its instances, communities, and users are), local and all can be helpful for discovering communities to subscribe to.
