He never said it. Do you think a man who made millions was a secret communist ?

He seems to have been a good man though. His house keeper didn’t like the confederate flag on his truck, so he took it off and never displayed one again

Making a ton of money doesn’t preclude someone from being a socialist.

He was still an employee of the team owner and brought in more money for the capitalist than he was paid in return.

Even in a socialist society where the means of production are worker owned, there can be sectors that are more valuable than others. The difference would be that the workers are receiving their full value rather than being paid a wage and the excess value going to the pockets of a capitalist owner that isn’t producing value.

But no, Dale was definitely not a communist or socialist at all. He was a pretty staunch Republican.

It’s called “The Ghost of Ol’ Dale Earnhardt” and it was started in 2017 as pushback against alt-right people trying to make everything from the American South seem ultra right wing.

I don’t really get the point but it seems like left leaning people in the American South find it funny?

explains the point perfectly and then claims to not get it 🤨

But yeah, you don’t have to be from the American South to find it funny. Personally I’m from the European North and find it hilarious 😄

Its got to be so devious to sit on your pile of money and once people start to realize where youre at you just start fucking with them.

Wealthy person: Capitalism is the true decider in survival of the fittest. Having wealth is the equivalent of being physically and mentally superior in every way.

Poor: Mmmm ok? So, you want to place your order or should I give you a minute?

Poor: hey, why is it you make 360x more than I do?

WP: what was that? Hey, you think we should build a wall so that foreigners don’t steal your job?

Poor: hey, you could buy a Lamborghini everyday for the rest of your life and never be effected.

WP: huh? Did you know people like you will be replaced by black people like you?

I consider bigotry very real and very much a threat, and as such, respectfully disagree.

I will go ahead and question whether this has a place in !memes however. It’s not funny in the slightest and it’s only purpose is to express a strongly held political belief of the poster.

I came here to laugh, not to argue, please stop posting these.

The funniest part of you posting Dale memes is that people feel to need to comment their dislike of them. Meanwhile they get hundreds of upvotes.

I, for one, think that it is rather mentally healthy to engage in the occasional constructive debate with those whom I disagree.

My latter comment has more to do with my belief that this community is not necessarily the best place for such content or discussion to be hosted.

I don’t think the point is that it’s not a threat. I think it’s more like if you set fire to a house before robbing the neighbouring house, if that makes sense. It’s not that the house on fire isn’t important, but more so that it was meant to distract everyone.

That might technically work, but in the real world, it wouldn’t make much sense. Sure you could set something on fire to commit a robbery nearby, but that’s a lot of effort to do what you were already doing.

Regarding OPs argument, it doesn’t strike me as making that much sense, and considering the lack of evidence, Hanlon’s Razor dictates that it’s unlikely.
