CEOs bark orders to subordinate executives to work to take others’ livings.

Then they have a glass or 3 of bourbon at their office bar they write off as a business expense, wax poetic about how lazy their workforce is, and prepare to depart for their golf game to “network” over 9 holes with their CEO buddies.

You left out ragetweeting 250x a day and binging Elden Ring.

CEOs don’t deserve respect. Their goals directly oppose their workers. It’s 2023, there are no new Revolutionary Ways to run a company,so the only way to increase shareholder and executive payout is to steal from workers. Calculate your hours, taxes, and benefit payouts on your own systems. Wage theft is the largest theft in the world. Even if it’s a single dollar they will do it to every employee to increase profits. Never work off the clock, never do someone else’s job, and always ask for raises that’s at least 2x the projected inflation rate.

Company I work at will likely not even match inflation even though I’ve been going nuclear in my performance (specially in contrast to others )

Which is why I will no longer be doing anything past the bare minimum

I’m really at a loss with comments like this. What in the world do you guys propose instead? I’ve been job hunting for months to escape the hellhole job I’m currently in with no luck. I send out at least 3 apps a day and reach out to many of the companies I apply to over the phone. Most companies are barely willing to pay above federal minimum wage when they do give you a chance, which has been the same figure since I was a child. What do you actually want us to do? Live in the streets until we die? I can’t even organize a union where I’m at because the turnover rate is the worst of anywhere I’ve ever been and no one stays for more than a few weeks, no clue what they’re doing for money when they leave, but I’m not finding it. Again I beg, what am I supposed to do?

Bro I love janitors. I’m a teacher in training and without them the school would freaking collapse. Also they’re all super nice. This one janitor at my internship school always notices when I wear a dress I made myself and always compliments me on them.

No janitor ever fucked up a company’s product in exchange for short term profit and executive bonuses.

Oh hey John Riccitiello, CEO of Unity, what are you doing here?

Can you think of any reasons they might not be happy with their lives that might affect their ability to deal with others?
