I’ve previously belonged to the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, the Communications Workers of America, and the National Education Association. #Unions exist to protect the workers from unfair and dangerous labor conditions, and that’s why the owners and investors hate them.     I’m generally against unions, but I’m not an employer.

    My experience with unions is mostly in trades, and there’s enough “good ol boy” involved in that often enough to put me off unions in general as they apply to me.

    I imagine writer/actor unions are probably more akin to what unions are generally advertised to be though, and I agree with the general concept of unionizing, so if I were a writer or actor, I might very well feel different about it.
