It was a cool concept but a disappointing serial. Hopefully the specials will do it justice.
I deadass probably watched a reconstruction in my classic who watch through but I didn’t even remember it until i started paying attention to the 60th special rumors.

I watched it a couple months ago on my first classic watch. The reconstructions are rough, because they’re trying to describe the weird little games and it doesn’t work well at all, plus the games don’t sound particularly good either.

Late to the party, sorry but… It’s an awful serial. They had a decent idea, dropped the ball completely, and did it properly with The Mind Robber a few years later.
I’m looking forward to seeing what RTD does with the toymaker, I feel sure he’ll make it into something interesting!
