Seems to only happen with lemmy.ml for whatever reason. Hitting the “subscribe pending” button and trying again makes zero difference.
Had the same issue, try to unsubscribe/resubscribe a few times and it might go through. Worked for me. Took a few attempts though.
I have the same issue, lemmy.ml was quite overloaded, so they did add some protections to make it faster gain. I guess it is related to those settings.
Yes, they get stuck forever sometimes. When I come back a few hours later they’ll often go through though.
But some lemmy.ml communities refuse to even federate at all and I don’t know why yet. For instance I can federate this
lemmy
community as expected through sh.itjust.works:https://sh.itjust.works/c/[email protected]
But e.g. the
kubuntu
community doesn’t work:https://sh.itjust.works/c/[email protected]
I get
404: couldnt_find_community
. I’ve found a couple dozen others I’d like to subscribe to which do the same thing.
Edit: above issue is resolved, see here if interested.
WTF.
I don’t even have a hypothesis on what could be broken here.
I just posted about it in the support community: https://sh.itjust.works/post/60773
Occasionally I can redo the subscribe and it will work instantly. Not a consistent thing, but every once in a while I went through my subscribed communities and redid the pending ones until I got them all subscribed
Yeah - I think that is happening to me to
I have the same problem with [email protected]
