First you start by buying a bunch of land, preferably around, or close to, a city.

Second you have to develop the infrastructure (water/sewer, power, etc)

Third you need…oh shit, you mean…yeah I think its been answered, sorry for my confusion

The sad thing is you actually think you’re funny, enough to put the effort of writing it anyway. Lucky for you youll never have to worry about losing your sense of humor.

Well, at least I have a sense of humour, apparently you don’t.

Maybe I missed where you expanded on your question, and let the good folks know exactly what you mean.

It was a simple question lad. If you had a good sense of humor you might actually be able to say something funny or at the very least something witty… instead of being like the majority of lemmy/reddit users who think theyre the next (insert favorite comic).

It was not a simple question, you did not elaborate in any way

No one was to know what community you want to build, or where, or what context. This is not ‘questions about lemmy and associated products/services’ is it? So stuff your self righteous attitude up your ass and take a whiff, then report back please.

if you are having this much of an issue with someone who answered your question (remember, you did not say what KIND of community you were looking to build) and are this bothered, maybe you shouldn’t be starting a community, be it here on lemmy, or in the real world, it seems the internet is not for you, nor is social media. Stick to a blog where you can put whatever you want and no one can reply or disagree with you, and everyone will always know 100% exactly what context you are referring to while asking questions.

I’m done with you now, run along and play.

I dont have to say what kind of community its IRRELEVANT to the question. I dont use social media. You will never be able to see that its you, you are the problem. If you were capable of making a quality joke at my expense id be the first to laugh but you’re not you’re just not a funny man but we must what suffer you and your kind indefinitely?.. next time put abitta effort in or if you cant do that then just stfu yea.

Its not pretty easy actually. There is no option at all within the client I use (jerboa) and when trying to create on a browser my instance has a dead “create” button.

I apologize on behalf of everyone making stupid unfunny jokes instead of helping you. This place is slowly turning into reddit.

Thank you. That instance, after filling out the community details has a dead button on “create” tho.

It’s possible user community creation is disabled there. Try messaging an admin.

Could also be the desired name is too long or something. Lemmy isn’t great at giving error messages yet.

Try all lowercase, no special characters, and twenty characters or less.

Depends on what instance and application/website you use. Where are you on?
