Crystal Dynamics was confirmed to be safe, but otherwise Embracer hasn’t mentioned which projects or which studios are going to be seeing cuts. Worrying news for a company which has made so many acquisitions in so little time, and which has only released a handful of notable games.

The restructuring will be overseen by Saber boss Matthew Karch and former Square Enix USA boss Phil Rogers, who have been tapped by Wingefors in new executive roles.

That doesn’t inspire confidence after how Square Enix studios in the US were run.

      Square-Enix Japan isn’t much better.

Remember how FF15 took more than a decade and 2-3 ground-up restarts to finish? And how FF7R went through a similar ground-up restart after a few months of work?

Square just seems to have issues managing things.
