Oh this is great. I’ve tried to use SD to generate item art before, but it tends to be pretty hit-and-miss. What tools and workflow did you have here?

I made it using SD and Krita. I started out just painting big blocks of color, so like bright yellow for the face of the amulet and a darker yellow for the edges. I painted over a picture of an amulet laying on a table just as a guide so the perspective wouldn’t be too wonky.

Ran it through with a description of the item and tweaking parameters until I got something that was starting to look like what I wanted. I bring a bunch of iterations into Krita at a time and use layer masks to composite together the parts I like best from each image. Then the result gets kicked out and run through SD some more. Rinse and repeat until satisfied.

The splatter effect is a layer mask on the final image. That was actually done with SD too, just prompted something like “a splat of white paint on a black background.”

EDIT: I know there are models and Loras now that are trained specifically around RPG items. I didn’t use them for this because they didn’t exist at the time, but might be worth looking into!

Dr. Bright you can’t just transfer dimensions and go galavanting with adventurers.

I love it, I want to acquire this item.

    What does it do?

I can’t find the source for the original item, I’ll have to look again later. But I got the stats from somewhere else.

Without looking, as I recall it allows the player to spend spell slots to get HP back once per day. Can’t remember if it’s a fixed number or a roll. Kind of a good “oh shit” item.
