Montreal's main airport is the only one in Canada with its own observation park, but it has become a victim of its popularity, according to an airport spokesperson.
I was going to make some snarky comment about how ridiculous this is.
Then I clicked the article and saw that the park is literally right next to the runway. Maybe yeah in that case. Don’t draw droves of birds straight to the airport.
You laugh you laugh but in Buenos Aires the viscinity around the airport is prime BBQ picnic land (its absurd af and I don’t get why mais c’est comme ca)

I can’t imagine having a picnic next to a departing plane must be pleasant anyway.

Oh I definitely know two people who’ve gone to the park just for the sake of watching the planes take off
It’s actually pretty cool. I go there every now and then and you see all kinds of people there: Old, young, men, women, families going on picnics.
I’m pretty sure the air isn’t much worse than standing next to Rene-Levesque in rush hour…
