Man that was a spectacular finish. Really cool to see someone from another discipline win in the 91.

Also goes to show the direction Next Gen has taken the feel of the cars that a super car racer could come in and win. (Nice strategy as well with the newer tires.)

Just caught the highlights and wow, pretty good action it looks like! That racing between SVG and Haley was really good and it was kind of hilarious to see the cars get stuck under the tire barriers too 😆

I’m devastated I couldn’t be here to watch live/make a race thread ugh!

Hell of a race. SVG very well could be the next big star in nascar if he plays his cards right.

Everything about this race was right up SVG’s wheelhouse. Street course, heavy, powerful cars with no downforce, and changeable conditions. The only other drivers in the field who even had street course experience were Lally and Button, and it really showed. Wild race, and I admit I’m a convert from how I started the weekend off.

I’ve spent my whole life since I was a little kid obsessed with “road ringers”. People like Ron Fellow, Scott Pruett, Boris Said were as much heroes to me as any full-time driver and I always liked to see them show up the full-timers in Trucks or Xfinity. So it was particularly very neat to see a road course ringer win a Cup race for the first time in my entire life.

Those Ron Fellows Bully Hill Vinyards cars were some of my favorite one offs as a kid growing up.
