    Yes/No. Given the opportunity I would like to grow more drought resistant trees like Mulberry. However, I do not own a property large enough to plant trees.

    My experience in a community-supported agriculture is that it’s hard to plan ahead. In wet years we will harvest lots of pumpkins but fewer tomatoes (crops are not protected) and in dry years it’s vice verca. And the years do become more extreme regarding temperature and precipitation.

    But I think in the future we will try to grow new crops that are better adapted to arid conditions like soybean.

    Absolutely, I live in a hot area. So anything that needs more sunlight than I can provide inside, but can’t take the heat and sun outside is out of the running.
