You might as well avoid it and do not have to worry about being disrespectful to your name. You don’t want them hating you for any reason. They may just hate you for being a bit too aggressive for them. Like if you walk into a bar and they are all yelling at you, just make sure you put yourself in a position where you do not feel like being disrespectful to your name and nothing you can do is hurt them. But I think it’s probably better for them to treat you as a friend, rather than as a person.
