Thank you! I’ve been experimenting with using ChatGPT to generate prompts. I’ve iterated this prompt a bunch to get to this specific image. Here’s the ridiculous ChatGPT prompt:

Within the realm of technical botanical illustration, the talented artist Escher presents an enchanting black and white composition that showcases the intricate beauty of Foxglove, Bittersweet Nightshade, Mountain Laurel, Castor Bean, Yew Shrubs, Poison Sumac, Poison Ivy, Water Hemlock, Deadly Nightshade, White Snakeroot, Oleander, Angel’s Trumpet, Datura, and Monkshood. The vibrant flowers and plants, with their poisonous secrets, intertwine seamlessly in this surreal landscape. Each specimen is meticulously rendered with precise linework and accurate botanical details, while the surreal color palette oscillates between vibrant pinks, purples, and eerie shades of green, capturing their allure and menace. The lighting technique highlights the intricate forms and textures, creating a dreamlike atmosphere where danger lurks amidst the captivating beauty, --tile

Seriously, was it generated as a seamless texture without any edits? Because if so that is amazing. Also what model / system are they using?

You might like this one too. It’s another seamless texture. Pretty crazy. Yarn 1

Thank you! I’m using Midjourney with the --tile parameter. That parameter is magic. No edits at all. I’ve made a ton of iterations to arrive at that image. There are a bunch of other good ones on the way to this one; just thought this one was pretty cool.

How is this seamless? I don’t seem to be able to see it. Care to show an example?

Seamless textures are usually able to be tiled top, bottom, left and right, which this image is. So, if you were to use this with a fill tool in Affinity or Adobe products, it will seamlessly fill a shape.

“Tileable” is a better term to use in the future.

Nobody describes it as wallpaper? Is wallpaper really so unknown?

I suppose you could call it wallpaper if you like, but that seems kind of limiting.

It’s just that houses used to have floral wallpaper just like that, but maybe people here are too young to remember.
