Muffed is an open source Lemmy client written in flutter with a focus on usability and privacy. Available on Android, iOS support coming soon.

Improvements to the “create comment” UI

New UI:

What the buttons do from left to right:

  • Closes the dialog
  • Previews the comment (New Feature)
  • Opens in full page for editing (Coming in next release)
  • Posts the comment

Change the server to use when not logged in

You can now change the server that Muffed uses when not logged in.

Simply press the settings icon on the account switcher and enter the server you want to use.

Other changes

  • You can now reply to other comments
  • Embed images now will reattempt retrieving the image 3 times on failure before it shows an error instead
  • Comments will now signify whether the comment is from the original poster

    Just installed and tried it.

    This looks and feels different. In a good way. Love the animations and the bottom navigation.

    Of course it still lacks a number of features, but I will keep an eye on this app.

      When creating the app I did want to go against some norms in order to achieve a better user experience.

        I have enjoyed opening it up and reading with it. Quite smooth already.

    Wonder if the blurring of NSFW content could be improved. Or even be set by the user. At the moment the image is foggy, but quite identifiable. 😄

      That’s a good point.

      I have updated the code to make them less identifiable more.
