Samuel Villarreal, the lead engine developer at Nighdive Studios, has announced that "me and my team are very well suited for the job" if Microsoft wants remastered versions of Heretic and Hexen.

They did so well with the System Shock remake. I’d like to see what they can do with Hexen.
