Reddit was so combative at times, it felt like I was getting into arguments with people on there a lot. I like seeing Lemmy grow and new people join, and I just wanna enjoy it and not argue with people about stupid shit. Let’s just all have fun!

I learnt over time that such aggressive comments or patterns are just waiting for a reaction, so i just try to ignore them. Not giving into anger in those situations and just letting it go is what should help to limit those behaviours. Btw, did you remember the “don’t feed the trolls” banner in old school forums…or the “low quality bait” meme. Yeah, irony should also help dealing with it…
