So I’ve tried reaching out to Steam support, but they cannot help me as I’m now living outside of the supported shipping countries list, which means I’m on my own regarding solving this. Any help is appreciated.

While playing disconnected from a power source, the steam deck reached around 6% of battery power. I was playing Control when suddenly the game started to freeze and stutter a lot, and it kept this behavior even after I connected it to a power source.

I’ve turned the console off and looked here on reddit what I could do about that, and saw users mentioning that enabling the battery storage mode, leaving the console for a couple of minutes out of the power source, then reconnecting it would solve the issue, and it did, but after a while playing connected to the power source, the console shut down.

Now the battery is always stuck at 24%, and if I unplug it from the power delivery, it shuts down immediately. I can’t enable the Battery Storage mode because I cannot unplug it from the power source (or it just shuts down). Entering the Battery Storage mode while connected to a power source doesn’t seem to do anything. Factory resetting didn’t affect the issue. Leaving the console charging overnight while turned on or off didn’t affect the issue as well.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I could do about this? Do you know if a replacement battery could do something about it?
