Hey, firstly - I absolutely love this app. Absolutely wonderful UI+UX, and a huge thank-you for the new OLED dark theme option.

One thing that could improve the UX for some users (myself included) would be a toggle to disable swipe gestures on comments, allowing you to swipe left to right from anywhere on the comments page to return to your feed. If I’m browsing comments holding my phone right handed, and swipe to return I find myself consistently voting unintentionally since the swipe activation area is only a thin section at the left edge of the display. It’s one of the only features I’ve been pining for since the loss of Apollo (I suppose that outs me as a reddit refugee…the horror)

This option is a very minor QOL feature tbh and certainly I understand that many more important features take priority over something like that, but figured I’d make the suggestion nonetheless since it could help accessibility and further refine what is already a quite seamless browsing experience.

Thanks again for an excellent app, devs, and here’s to a bright future for both Lemmy and Memmy 🥳

This is one of the feature i miss the most from apollo! Not a single app for lemmy still has that feature and i find myself doing the same thing.

Besides that i wish community names on posts would be more visible. I feel like community name should be on left side and have community avatar picture instead of that generic community logo.

I know those are not priority since app is still missing a lot of features but if i plan to spend some time scrolling through lemmy i hope to find a replacement for apollo that suits me the best and so far memmy seems like the closest one thats why i would like suggest those features too.

Worried that implementing this might be easier said than done since there is no alternative for voting currently, but tapping on the vote icons above comments or adding vote interactions to the long press menu on comments could be potential solutions.
