Russia is working on the design for a new natural gas pipeline to China, with plans to send China the volume of gas it used to send to Western Europe.

Analysts doubt that Russia could boost volumes to China to such levels for at least another seven years, according to Russian daily Vedomosti.

Maybe China will be on 100% carbon free energy by then and won’t be interested?
