may be a rate limit, check your F12 (browser console) if on desktop.
I have “show score” off for myself, but I like to upvote. I’ve noticed the same today. But it happens mostly on Firefox for Android. Here on the desktop, it doesn’t seem to be an issue.
Doing the same while using Jerboa.
Same on desktop, sometimes jerboa throws a timeout error.
