Very cool. I’ve enjoyed it in the last couple of games

I wonder if they’ll start with the founding of Baghdad proper in the 700s or if they’ll go all the way back to Mesopotamia and Babylon. The article says it focuses of mainly the Abbasid Caliphate in the ninth century but it would be a shame not to include at least something from the cradle of civilization.

If only they focused as much on gameplay and level design…

Don’t get me wrong, I love how much effort they put into detailing for historical accuracy. But in the end that is only a part the theme, it won’t work if the game itself bores you with repetitive and grinding missions.
