Nextcloud was looking promising but you can only type in text not scan with camera, open to suggestions.

Thanks

If you have the URL to your file, can you not just generate a QR code that opens that URL?

Are you looking for something to generate QR code for every file you have?

Every file already has a unique 6 digit code and a QR code has already been generated, the client wants this in a form they can scan the existing QR code and bring up the relevant report for it. Nextcloud would work if only it had the ability to scan in to the search box, I think we are going to start looking at a bespoke solution as there seems to nothing out there, which is surprising as it’s such a simple idea.

Do you control the QR code?

It seems like your client already has a bunch of printed QR code that they wish to scan and open a pdf from nextcloud

Have you considered a USB/Bluetooth QR code scanner that would mimic a keyboard to enter the scanned codes into a nextcloud search bar?
