That’s absolutely fair. I’ve heard a few vinyl rips I absolutely couldn’t tell were vinyl (besides the dynamics being so much better than the CD release). Though maybe those were “digitally remastered” in some way to correct for wow and flutter, and compositions from multiple rips to eliminate most noticeable pops and cracks, and get an amazing profile for the surface noise. Whatever it was, it didn’t have any trademark indications that it was vinyl to my own ears at least.
