One buys scalloped potatoes for 50% off but they put the sticker over the baking instructions…

Also something something sticker rips and doesn’t detach so he “can’t” get to them… and I don’t know what happens after that…

Also he didn’t get to leave with the box he choose. He was forced to trade boxes with a rude person or he was really rude to someone else that lives next door that he would then go ask for the directions after calling the other person dumb earlier

Also, maybe they get petty enough that they want to go return the purchase, but don’t want to be seen by anyone they know doing it. So they’re ok with be curmudgeons, but they don’t want anyone else to know how cheap they are.

Soooo, they get one of their assistants do do it. But that perfect plan ends up taking a turn when…

Ok Larry David’s alt, I want it in writing that I’ll get a writer’s credit if you want the rest of the story.

It would be funny if he could talk them into picking it up themselves (literally returning it)—maybe even its Leon moonlighting as a scalloped-potatoe-returns-reverse-delivery-guy—and the grocery worker nominally injures himself somehow and in some comedic sense and gets to sue Larry or some other sundry hilarity ensues that could have been so easily avoided.

Edit: maybe they settle for letting Leon swapsies into the MasterBedroom

I’m not necessarily “married” to that second part but I feel strongly the first part or the general premise is sufficiently frivolous to warrant comedic treatment and effect and importantly, could be stretched out temporally to fill out the show length

There should obviously have a no-stickers-on-the-instructions rule! Thet can’t just put a sticker over the instructions! What can I do? I certainly can’t return them now, they were on rebate!

I’ll tell you what you do, Larry. You take that back to the grocery store, you march right in, and you demand a rebate on the rebate! You tell them loud and clear that the sticker-on-the-instructions is unacceptable!

      You think so Leon?

Oh yeah, Larry. Let me cancel my pedicure and I’ll go marching in there with you. Let’s go right now.

They go there while borrowing Susie’s car.

      – And somewhere throughout there’s a “Jesus fucking Christ Larry! Just fucking buy new ones. You can’t berate a kid working there for a stupid fucking sticker! You’re ridiculous Larry!”

“It’s about the principle now! You can’t just stick your rebate stickers everywhere, anywhere!”

      – Cue the end of the episode where Susie goes grocery shopping and the store workers put rebate stickers all over her car, thinking they’re doing it on Larry’s.

Back and forth of the camera between Larry’s surprised face, mixed with hand gestures saying “no, I didn’t do this, it’s not my fault” and Susie’s face being mad at Larry for someone else’s fault, but somehow it’s always Larry’s fault.

        Definitely should be a rebate-sticker-over-instructions-rebate

Edit: I also fucking love that you got Susie['s car] involved in this even though it has nothing to do with her unless he was with Jeff and his parescope was on the fritz so he had to send it to the shop and take “Jeff”'s car

Edit: not sure if California has car “stickers”. Ut I feel like that could play into all this—like her sticker’s either covered or expired and Larry is on the hot seat over it

This is such a great answer, btw. Very satisfied with your response here :)

Edit: critics HATE how satisfied I am with just this one little answer of yours
