- Both coronal mass ejections will partially touch the Earth, increasing the overall intensity of the solar storm.
- A solar storm can cause radio outages and disrupt GPS signals.
- Another solar threat is brewing on Earth: a new and large sunspot.
- The Hinode (Solar-B) satellite is studying the mechanisms that fuel the solar atmosphere and the causes of violent solar eruptions.

That’s not overly alarmist at all…
With that title I’d assume life as we knew it was close to ending.
