• SPF - EVY Technology Daily Defence Face Mousse SPF50. Awesome sunscreen with almost no drawbacks. Unfortunately it can be difficult to find or a bit pricey depending on where you live.

  • Cleanser - CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser. Cleanses well although you will probably need a pre-cleanse if you got a heavy SPF or makeup applied. Doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped. Easy to work onto the skin. No irritation. Reasonable priced considering how long a bottle lasts.

I would legally marry Aquaphor if I could.

Also pure glycerin and squalane oil, I have very dry skin and I always put those on before anything else after I wash my face.

I tried switching from slugging with Vaseline to Aquaphor and unfortunately it broke me out a little bit. I’m able to use it more as a spot-treatment though and it’s working great for that!

I’ll second this. I struggled trying to find a good moisturizer that didn’t make my face feel gross, but Vanicream is awesome.

    Hada Labo Hyaluronic Acid Lotion.

Skin feels dry even after moisturizing? Flaking skin? Makeup won’t go on smooth? USE THIS!!!

Idk all the details, but here’s the absolute basics of what I remember (if anyone has better info, please correct me!):

The moisture barrier on your skin is messed up, it can make it difficult for it to actually absorb & maintain any moisturizer that you put into it. Hada Labo lotion fixes that!!

Use it correctly!! Put a dime-sized amount into your palm, warm it up for 10 to 15 seconds by rubbing it between your hands, then pat it into your face until it becomes “tacky”– you should feel your skin kind of stick slightly to your hands as you pat.

Then use a moisturizing face mask or regular moisturizer, and you’re good! Usually I use it at night so my skin is fresh the next day.

Sounds awesome! Would love to try it but it’s difficult to find or expensive in Europe it seems 😭

Tbh I haven’t found a sunscreen my skin likes more than Paula’s Choice Daily Wrinkle Defense 30 SPF… and I’ve tried literally hundreds at this point. Also my favorite retinoid product is Retincare by Cantabria Labs, it’s gentle and did not irritate my skin almost at all. I had tried tretinoin previously and suffered a BAD reaction.

I got this brand from my esthetician called [comfort zone], it’s AMAZING. I use the hydrating mask, hydrating serum and milk cleanser and my skin has never ever been happier. Then Peter Tomas Roth’s Water Drench to top it all off. Started dermaplaning recently too, what a revelation lol

I really like the biore watery essence sunscreen. I live quite far north so it’s a summertime only thing for me, but it’s the best feeling sunscreen and of course has great protection.

Would products that I’ve been using forever be considered HGs? They work for me and I don’t think I’ll ever change them. I recently realized I’ve been using the same face wash for 15+ years - Aveeno positively radiant. I’ve also been using CeraVe AM (or the CVS dupe) for probably 10+ years.

I like the recommendation. Do you use both the CeraVe AM and the Biore Watery Essence in the morning?

No, I only use CeraVe AM as my daily sunscreen because I am inside all day. Biore watery essence is saved for outside time, also because it’s expensive and hard for me to source.
