    Especially among the majority of the progressive party, supporting the Israeli government which is very far to the right wing is not popular at all.

    You are incorrect.

    Edit: (this is without mentioning current events and current events do not change this other than the need to condemn both terrorists and genocidal apartheid governments, while calling for the minimum of a cease fire to protect as many civilians as possible)

      I see progressives getting behind a measured Israeli military response left and right. Leftists, most prominently “The Squad” are the ones engaging in unmistakable antisemitism and those are proud, self-proclaimed leftists.

        You obviously don’t understand the fact that progressives don’t generally support extreme right wing governments that engage in apartheid occupation of civilians.

            I’m just stating facts. His position on the Israeli crisis is disheartening too most of his base.

            And Israel is not Judaism nor does Israel speak for Judaism.
