Reddit improved their anti-ban evasion system, cuz it’s the sixth or more failed attempt at evading a permanent ban. Never more, I am staying here.
FUCK YOU, SPEZ!

Maybe they wouldn’t have problem with ban evasion if they weren’t giving out bans the drop of a hat
Everything is being automated. The Admins are automated. The mods are increasingly automated. The subs are filled with botspam. The comments (have always been, but are now overwhelmingly) filled with bot-chatter.
The end goal of Reddit is to automate away anything that might cut into the company’s bottom line. I’m convinced they’re going to functionally do away with the comments section sooner or later. Just set up a byzantine set of bureaucratic hurdles that no human can actually clear. Then all that’s left is the bots, and all you are allowed to do is look through the glass at the simulation.
That’s not exclusive to Reddit.
Edit: If you disagree, go look at the bans and their reasoning in the mod log. It’s insane, and I mean that word in the literal sense. Some fun things: they ban people for not agreeing with them vocally enough. They’ve banned people for arguing that the world isn’t beyond saving if we try. They’ve banned because (and I quote) “Get out of here with that my children matter shit”. It’s a lunatic brigade run by a clown.
196?

They are something else. Think like TheDonald was on Reddit, but for trans people and memes.
My first exposure to them was a thread by a mod saying that you MUST post absolute and unconditional not just approval, but promotion of what they say politically or you will be banned. It was fucking wild and nearly put me off Lemmy altogether.
You spent like a whole day arguing about what centrism is and calling everyone disagreeing with you stupid. That’s why you got banned from 196. You know all that is public, right?
