The fires started around 1700 GMT and were caused by Israeli shells containing white phosphorous being launched across the border, Abdalla Mousawae, head of the Tyre Regional Center of Lebanese civil defense, told Reuters.

The Israeli military did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Border clashes between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have escalated in recent weeks since Israel went to war with Hezbollah’s Palestinian ally Hamas.

It could be the shellings, or the launches of AT rockets towards Israel from Lebanon by Hezbollah, or maybe, just maybe - due to really hot weather (for end of October that is) in recent weeks…

I dated someone who liked licking boots. I have no problem with that as a fetish.

Licking Zionist boots is another matter entirely.

Weird fetishes aside - do you think these shellings are an unprovoked attack of the peaceful Lebanonian countryside, or maybe, just maybe, it’s a response to endless AT-missile launch attempts made by militants from Lebanon territory onto Israel…
