You can back it up for relatively cheap right now with a service like Backblaze B2. It’s $6/TB/month. There’s cheaper ones out there but I forget the names.
What type of hard drive is it? If it’s an enterprise version, those make hella noise because they’re made for data centers where noise doesn’t matter. If it was a consumer level hard drive and it only just started making noise, run some diagnostic tests on it first before you start panicking.
