Just got my new Snowblind S case in. I am not thrilled with the mounting options for fans… I love my chainable lian li fans and want to use all 6 over on my new case. new case only has 3 spots for fans though.

I am currently considering 2 different routes here… 1 is to try to retrofit the front panel from the snowblind to fit onto my current Lian li case…or possibly try to modify my new snowblind case to mount more fans… whether that means drilling holes or cutting off the front panel and mounting mesh there myself with fans… or something similar to the top panel of the new case. I could definitely steal the mesh filters from my Lian li case to put over any holes I drill on the new snowblind… this could cover up any imperfection

I am open to any ideas you guys have… ill include pictures of both cases atm. I would like to retain as many Lian Li fans as I can, not only to have better airflow but also for the extra light. For fans is minimal… 3 total. I have 6 of the chainable Lianli fans currently and I’d LIKE to be able to use them all on my new build as well… I currently have a 1-year-old Lian Li case (IDR the name, but it has the mesh panel up front that came with 2 200mm fans, I replaced it with 3 chainable Lianli fans. it has mesh on the front for fans, on the top for fans, and on the back for a fan… new case only has space for 1 on the back and 2 on the back side next to the mobo. I have a 240mm AIO atm with 2 of my Lianli fans, and a gtx 1080. unless there is a way to add 1 extra fan to the case, and then swap out the 2 fans on my gtx 1080 with 2 of those lian lis, I feel like I am wasting energy on cooling. I also have a pretty decent 3D printer I could possibly print parts to help modify either one as well.

So if anyone has any advice/suggestions/guides for me… id appreciate it! I think I would prefer to modify the top/front panels on the snowblind case while adding mesh over it to cover up any poorly executed cuts lol. Also, here are pics of both cases.

The Ibuypower Snowblind S is pretty bad for airflow. No front fan mounting, only 2 back side panel fans and 1 fan going to the back. Not ideal. Thats probably why many people are dissapointed with the Snowblind cases.

I would recommend you returning the Snowblind case and spend $50 trying to mod your existing case instead, there are plenty of guides on how to DIY Snowblind that doesnt require cutting your case metal chassis.
