Not pointing a gun at cops is usually a good idea.

However, Timber Roberts wasn’t carrying a gun. His brother Brooks, the man now paralyzed, probably didn’t know the men roughing up his brother were cops, since they were out of uniform and hadn’t announced themselves.

All this info and more is available to those who read the article. Be one of them, please.

Man. How would I have known he pointed his gun at them?

How could someone who didn’t read the article know that?

Maybe I did, and also read this part.

the officers revealed their law enforcement badges, told Timber they had a warrant and that he was under arrest.

There are a lot of things wrong with policing, but this instance seems like some shitty people fought arrest, one of them pulled a gun on police officers who had already identified themselves and had an warrant, and paid the price for it.

You believe these cops showed their previously-hidden badges to Timber Roberts while in the act of accosting him. I’m skeptical.

Even if they’d shouted, “Police,” I’m skeptical that Brooks would’ve heard it.

I’ve seen no compelling evidence that he pulled a gun on police officers who had already identified themselves; he pulled a gun on men in street clothes accosting his brother.

If you reply to this, please say something that doesn’t sound like the cops’ PR office.

Why don’t you read the article? I mean, you say to read it but dismiss the information provided by it. You can’t point to it as a source of information at the same time as you dismiss the information provided.

I’ve seen no compelling evidence that he pulled a gun on police officers who had already identified themselves; he pulled a gun on men in street clothes accosting his brother.

Well, if you had read the article, you would have seen it says they identified themselves. A 10 second search provided me with a copy of the video

          https://ln5.sync.com/dl/37ddec270/ixqc4eej-g476w25c-54ygr6kn-m7mib2ag/view/default/16738585980008

At 5:52 you can see they start the arrest and have a badge visible. at 6:24 you can hear Timber ask why they have a warrant for him. and at 6:36 you can hear their sirens going off and see the police truck pulling up. That was BEFORE Brooks rounded the truck and pointed his gun at them.

They were both aware these people were police. Timber still screamed like he was being attacked by random people, and Brooks came up on them and pointed a gun at them.

This matter, posted about previously, is one of the most flamboyantly obvious instances of police abuse of power yet this year, but I can’t explain that to you, and I’m done trying.
