Seriously? Heating is the single greatest source of greenhouse gasses in Canada. If they want to make home owners have it easier to pay their bills, how about just subsidizing heat pumps instead? They already have a rebate or something for that on the east coast, so just apply it country-wide.

Not only will it be an easy step to lower our carbon footprint, but it’ll lower people’s monthly bills.
