We are well and truly fucked. What good is all this money going to do these people when society collapses?

This will never truly happen, and I guarantee that if it’s even attempted, corporations will pass along as much of the cost/inconvenience to us as they possibly can.

They will do everything in their power to turn public opinion against the idea of change, and then say “oh well, I guess we have to continue making the world unlivable! It’s a shame that the world’s ecosystem is collapsing, but we’re obligated to do what the people want!”
