I have been playing rlcraft and I am really enjoying. There is so much content in this mod that I don’t know about yet. It’s pretty hard though.

Well for example you have 2 new bars you have to keep track of. You have to drink water and during winter you have be raise your temperature for example to stand next to a furnace. Also there is a lot of new mobs that sometimes appear out of nowhere. On the other hand, there is a lot of new content and despite the difficulty I think it’s really fun to explore.

It’s not modded Minecraft, but close enough that I figure it falls under the “somewhat related” rule:

I’ve been playing Vintage Story recently, which is a standalone game spun off from the Terrafirmacraft Minecraft mod. Would highly recommend if you’re into block games. It takes Minecraft in a more survival-oriented direction that no mod aside from Terrafirmacraft really ever did.

Here’s my little homestead blanketed in the snows of winter:

I’ve heard of Vintage Story. It looks neat but I never got around to trying it. And yeah, any Minecraft-esque game is fair as far as I’m concerned since this is a community centered on modded Minecraft and not just Minecraft itself.

I’m currently making a pack to play with my friends. It’s centered around Create and some magic mods, as I wanted to try out Create and Hex Casting in 1.19

I tested hex a bit in the arcane isle modpack, it’s fascinating though it seems to take a while before you can do something useful.

Create is great, it’s one of my favourite mods all time. Love the esthetics of it.

Also, a strange question but if you’re not Elias, are you then Johannes?

Making a pack is always fun. Most mods are pretty plug and play anymore, though you miss out some of the custom content some of the modpack have.

Started a server recently that was running ATM7 to the sky, but we’re getting ready to change gears to Valhelsia: Enhanced Vanilla

Currently playing the 1.7.10 Blightfall with a friend. We’re in end game now. We have almost half of the map cleaned.
Never did get enough power to operate more than a few machines tho.

Currently - FTB skies, i guess it’s pretty main stream one. Also would recommend SevTech: Ages(ATLauncher).

I tried sevtech a couple of months ago, I liked the concept but initial impression was that it was a bit grindy. Might give it another try.

What is it that you like about ftb skies? I’ve heard the name but never checked it out.

Well, it’s solid FTB modpack, with cool quest, some custom systems(like their system for trade) and so on. Overall experience is great. FTB modpacks in general are great experience, would recommend any of them.

Sevtech is a classic. I prefer Atlauncher over Curseforge because it’s somewhat curated but still allows packs from Curseforge to be installed.

I just use MultiMC. It’s just really easy to use and have modpacks of most launchers(no CurseForge sadly)

FTB Inferno! It’s really fun and unique being stuck in the nether, and I love how integral MineColonies is to progression

Neat! I’ve toyed around with Minecolonies before. I’ll have to take a peek at it at some point. I’m interested to see how they build their progression on it.

Chipping away at GTNH. I know it’s memed to death but it’s legit a great pack! The progression is tuned so well.

    Technological Journey!

It’s a nice GTCE + Gregicality pack that’s more involved than Nomi but isn’t quite at GTNH complexity. I’m chipping away at it whenever I’m in the mood.

Been playing a few weeks on a Infitech FtN server. (GregTech 5u and some others, all tuned to be very difficult, and Lycanites throw in to the mix). Still going pretty good on it, just into MV but I’ve built out the best LV setup of any of my attempts so far.

    Frustrating and Fun in turn
