Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Wednesday which out-of-state driver’s licenses are no longer valid in the state due to Senate Bill 1718 taking effect, which is considered to be Florida…
The new law prohibits the issuance of a driver’s license to anyone who does not provide proof of lawful presence in the U.S. and specifies that out-of-state driver licenses issued exclusively to illegal aliens are invalid in Florida.
Normal licenses are okay still for function… And this has nothing to do with traffic enforcement. This is all about not issuing NEW FL licenses based on the immigration license to people on simply the basis that they had an old license in another state, and that employers cannot simply assume someone is legal to work because they have a drivers license.
