I ride with the Varia RTL515 and it was absolutely worth it! Not only because it alerts you of cars, but also because it tells you when a speeding e-bike or e-scooter rider is coming up behind you on a bike trail without warning.

I would have gone with the camera version, but the battery life of that model is terrible.
