I’ve been so used to judging a post just by its popularity on reddit, but it’s actually so much more useful to have an idea of the downvote ratio. I’m glad we have that here.

Curious choice indeed, but yeah, instance owners can configure or code whatever they want! I didn’t find a way to quickly transfer an account between instances like on Mastodon however
Does it really matter if you can migrate Lemmy instances or not? It’s the community that’s important, not the individual users. Karma doesn’t exist, so there’s no benefit to bringing over all your posts. If you care about followers, maybe you should use mastodon.
