Ice cream should make whatever fate awaits him better. Dying while eating ice cream seems like one of the more pleasant ways.

I have never thought about it like that. Truly thought provoking.

That is a possibility, but $5 of ice cream isn’t enough to do most people any damage, although I suppose it could be the start of diabetes.

Diabetes isn’t even caused by sugar. You’re at higher risk of getting diabetes if you are obese, which you can become if you regularly overindulge on sugar. But you aren’t going to get diabetes just because you drowned your sorrows in ice cream one time.

The fortune teller needs to run two sets of telling; one where she gives him back his money and one where she keeps it and lie to him. And maybe a control group for good measure.

Copy paste saves on ink, cartoonists are poor.

I mean, these comics are low quality in general. I support efficient labor but this is lazy all around.

I think working the last panel back into the fortune tellers reaction would have given it a stronger punchline.

Instead of ice cream, “She gave me my money back! Looks like it’s time for those sky diving lessons!”

    Give it some predestination vibes

Nah, 5 dollars won’t buy you those lessons but it will buy you ice cream.

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
