Half time. Salernitana win 2-1 in a honestly entertaining game. Like, i can see this turning full on into a goalfest on the second half. I will say that Salernitana need to be careful with the crosses of Sassuolo since that led to the Sassuolo goal moreso than the speed they use to do centers into the box. As for Sassuolo, they need (imo) to not go so forwards into the attack to not get offside tricked like in the first goal or just not risk a counterattack ending in a Salernitana goal due to lack of defenders in their half even if they are still quite cunning to find other ways (the 2-0 being off a clever assist through some defenders) to score. All in all, second half is gonna be quite fun if we keep this level of action.

Gotta give it to the Sassuolo defense there, that was a good way of closing the Salernitana player in so that he couldnt shoot properly due to the angle.
Last week I said the relegation battle is very open this year and I included Sassuolo in the mix of bottom 5 or 7. Someone said it wasn’t fair to consider them a relegation candidate but to me the gap between the worst 3 and the next better 3 or 4 isn’t very big. Hellas and Empoli are still the worst ones for me but the others can all battle till the last game.
Nice idea there, just a bit less force and it would have been a nice assist for the 3-0. Geezus, Sassuolo are bad at defending when it is passes that aint normal but within two players.
