    Is this supposed to be ripping on the entertainment industry, like, “people could be doing productive things instead of playing pretend on screen”? I’m stumped.

      I don’t think so. I see it more as riffing on times in the past where there’s been a tragedy and some celebrities decide to talk out about it as though they’re more important than they are. Think Sean Penn.

        That’s a good possibility. (Timely, since Sean Penn was speaking out against the Bush administration. /s) I don’t see the connection to the strike, though.

          The actors were this close to solving all the world’s problems you guys. They totally could’ve done it.
