                I don’t really understand your point.

                If I am not buying fish then even by a miniscule amount the demand has decreased.

                scale it up and you have your answer.

                  The point is that there are 8 billion people on the planet, and no amount of personal responsibility will resolve the problem. Legislation and enforcement are the only way to resolve this issue.

        And the fish that eat those fish, and the sharks that eat those bigger fish, and the algae and plankton bloom that are kept in check by those fish, and the coral that are dependent upon a balanced eco-system, and the land animals that depend on the oxygen and precipitation produced by a healthy ocean… It just keeps on going.
