I thought: Okay I’ll do 15 of these and start spamming twitter.

After I did those… it says I failed for some reason… Am I a bot? I’m starting to doubt if I’m human… 🤔

Knowing companies like Twitter they probably had some Minority Report style psychological profile on you from their intrusive data collection and predicted you were there to troll.

This is some high level " Person of Interest" shit. If you don’t know, check out this TV show called persons of interest.

That is so boring to watch. I couldn’t get past the first season. Something like the Snowden movie probably gets the point across without all the cop/criminal drama.

Yeah it gets better after season 1, but my point was about the whole pre-profiling and predicting potential criminal acts before they are actually executed by utilizing advanced surveillance and interconnected systems. We live in a modern digital age where this is no longer a fantasy, but slightly possible to some extent.

That “Machine” thing is very fictional. Surveillance, yes, Snowden has already revealed that part. But the super advanced AI? Maybe in a decade, but definitely not right now. AI isn’t as advanced today and there are a lot of false positives. I’m sure there are terrorists in some random country that even the smartest NSA/CIA/FBI doesn’t know about. Terrorists might be irrational, but not all of them are stupid. They can evade detection by the government. Meanwhile there are some random average innocent civillian being falsely marked as a criminal/terrorist.

Unless the government does have it and somehow kept it secret. Hey does anyone in a 3-letter agency wanna say something? 🤔 C’mon, we wanna see another Snowden leak to keep us up to date, just make sure don’t find yourself with an invalid passport when in another shitty country, it’d suck if you inadventently get stuck country worse than the one you are trying to flee from.

There are certain “stages” and types of AI. To call it a machine thing in some manner is to simplistic I think, anyways, of course, at the current state there is no “super advanced” AI (that’s why I said "to some extend) and the government is definitely not the only one developing it. It’s going to take some time indeed to progress to a higher a level. And yeah… There won’t be another whistle blower like Snowden anytime soon.

So what you’re saying is that Twitter successfully kept out a bad actor.

It’s a shame that most of the users they have left are also in that category, but hey, they seem to be working on it.

This makes no sense. It was testing for humans, not for non-trolling humans. The test failed.

Also, trolling isn’t necessarily bad acting. Trolling is not abuse.
