I assume moat of it was welded without the box inside, and the last two bits (on the side) are quite some distance away from the gift. So when those were welded, they didn’t heat up the box.

But now the box would wiggle side to side in the frame.

That’s how I’d do it, anyway.

As a hobby welder there would be no box left
