    The BBC said it was a “complex and fast moving set of circumstances” and it was “working as quickly as possible to establish the facts in order to properly inform appropriate next steps”.

    Pfft. The BBC didn’t immediately notify the police when the parents first reported it to them, instead falling back on completing an “internal” review first.

    Hiding their culpability seems to be par for the course, and their failure to foresee how it could affect the future of the BBC as publically-funded is myopic at best. Stupid is as stupid does.
